Practices
Dr. Rawlings spent many years in private practice as a Neurosurgeon and retains his focus on assisting the injured. As such he practices primarily in the area of civil litigation, representing clients injured or killed in car accidents or due to acts of ommisions of health care providers. However, beyond this arena, Dr. Rawlings represents corporate and small business clients in contract and other litigation disputes. In addition, Dr. Rawlings is a certified Superior Court mediator and is available for party selection.

Dr. Rawlings was honored with a certification as a specialist in medical negligence by the American Board of Professional liability attorneys in 2011. This is an honor only 167 lawyer’s hold in the United States, and the first in North Carolina. In 2013 Dr. Rawlings became a Fellow of The American College Board of Certified Attorneys. For a second year in a row, Dr. Rawlings has been selected as a Super Lawyer in North Carolina. Dr.Charles E. Rawlings attended Duke University School of Medicine where he became a distinguished neurosurgeon. After practicing neurosurgery for over fifteen years, Dr. Rawlings decided to add another career path and attended Wake Forest University School of Law where he was named a Juris Doctorate in 2002.
Our practice areas cover a broad and diverse range of legal fields. The majority of our practice is devoted to litigation and appeals, with a substantial focus in personal injury and medical malpractice. Many of our cases are referred to us from other attorneys who are familiar with our body of work and professionalism.
